ACK! Where did July go? It’s too soon! Too soon!
So, once again I will be galloping through the month of November swilling coffee, opening bottles of wine and forgetting to drink them because I am typing like demon, and unable to sleep normal hours for the swirl of mad ideas and the anxiety and caffeine. Yep. Fun times!
For anyone who doesn’t know, the whole point of Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) is to draft a 50,000 word novel in thirty days. Speed (not common sense) is your friend. From my own experience, a writer has to force that critical voice–the it’s never good enough, that’s stupid voice–to shut up; sheer panic for a rapidly approaching deadline works.
If you want to learn more about Nanowrimo and the upcoming November insanity, you can click these icons to take you to the Nanowrimo home page where you can browse and also sign up (free)! Join the madness. The experience is well worth it. The forums alone manage to keep a writer entertained socially and they also come up with wild suggestions to help generate that 50k word count!
Friend me [Impossible A] and we’ll write our novels together!
