Looking into December

Just a reminder to everyone that the December Readathon (hosted by O at Délaissé) starts this weekend:  December 1 and 2!

What I hope to tackle:

  1. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen (finish)
  2. The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe

What is more likely:

  1. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling (finish)
  2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling

As for the remainder of December, I am going to stack the following books on my nightstand:

  • We Were the Mulvaneys by Joyce Carol Oates
  • An Instance of the Fingerpost by Iain Pears
  • Waverley by Sir Walter Scott (re-read) *
  • The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis *
  • Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko (re-read)
  • Mansfield Park by Jane Austen * [will complete all major Austens in 2012]
  • Rebecca by Daphne DuMaurier *
  • In the Kingdom of Men by Kim Barnes
  • A Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling
  • A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell (re-read)

The books tagged with an asterisk are from my Classics Club list.  We shall see what I manage to get to or even if any of them at all!  Maybe I will find something infinitely more fascinating…
